The Color Purple

I have been on the lookout for a field of crocuses here in Seattle. In Nashville, there was a spectacular field near my parents' house where the purple flowers burst forth with hope at the end of January and in early February.  The last two years, we spotted some directly across the street from the house we rented in Knoxville in a neighbor's yard. And today, when I was running, I found a patch on the corner of Brooklyn Ave NE and 61st Street right near Cowen Park.  So thankful for the color purple and the hope of spring.
