The Me Bag

Anna and Taylor both have had great days at school this first week- so thankful for great teachers and for returning to a school that they love.

They both had homework of making a "me bag"- simply thinking about three things that represent them and putting these things into a bag ready to share with the class as a get-to-know-you activity.

These are sweet snapshots in time for sure...
Anna's drawing on the outside of her "me" bag-
1) ANNA- name in bold
2) red book surrounded by a big heart (because she loves books)
3) the continent of Africa (because she went when she was 5)
4) colored pencils (as she loves art and loves to draw)
5) Tennessee- (8 sweet years spent there...)

Inside her me bag, she had three things:
a bunny
(her love for animals)

2) dance rock
as she loves modern and ballet

3) a big seed
(since she loves to garden and loves to make things grow)

TAYLOR'S ME BAG!!
Inside his bag (which did not need to be decorated) were these three things:
1) biking poster
(need I say more- HE LOVES TO BIKE!)

2) a drawing of a scooter
(since we did not have a way to shrink his real scooter down!)

3) his amazing giant duck tape pen that he made

a few more pix from our fun Friday:

monkey bread (from Macrina Bakery) for our breakfast with Liam today

the random Wedgewood Ducks in someone's yard (on the way to Liam's school)
they are all watching a duck movie...

Anna and Taylor Petrie-
dress up after school

bandits in the hood

Our neighbors the Andersons have two parrots...
what a treat to have neighbors who have exotic pets!!
That means we can help take care of them when they are out of town (but we don't have to commit to them forever!)

Friday night date nights are back!
